The Vineyardist
The Vineyardist is named in honor of Lorenz Petersen who more than a century ago cleared the land and planted a vineyard on the Diamond Mountain property. A skilled farmer and winemaker, Petersen was a vineyardist.
In establishing The Vineyardist, owners Becky Kukkola and Dirk Fulton are involved in all aspects of the effort. The vineyards, carved into the volcanic terrain, are biodynamically farmed and the result is a cabernet sauvignon with power and finesse whose peers are among the finest in Bordeaux and Napa. That result can only be had through exacting work and practices of the highest level.
Tmarks worked with Kukkola and Fulton to develop site that reflected the soul of the winery and the loftiness of its goals. Understated yet stately, the site tells the story of the mountainous farm and grants a view into the life of the vineyard itself. The site is approachable – and not incidentally – accessible.
